Three Services, One Consistent Approach
Whether you're at the earliest stage of thinking about a space or well into the construction phase, Forma Haus has a service designed for where you are right now.
Back to HomeHow We Approach Every Project
Every Forma Haus engagement begins with the same fundamental step: listening. Before any layout is drawn or material suggested, we invest time in understanding how you live, what you value in a space, and what hasn't been working for you. That information shapes everything that follows.
Our design method draws from the visual language of natural environments — light, layering, texture, and organic form. We translate that into spaces that feel calm and considered without being cold or austere. The result is usually a certain quietness of composition, where nothing competes and everything serves.
Across all three services, you'll find the same qualities: clear documentation, direct communication, and a genuine interest in getting the details right. The scale of engagement differs, but the standard of care doesn't.
Design Consultation & Mood Mapping
A relaxed, in-person or virtual session to explore your aesthetic preferences, daily routines, and spatial needs. This isn't a hard sell for further services — it's simply a structured way to begin thinking about your space with someone who knows how to draw out what matters most to you.
You leave with a written summary containing mood references, colour direction, and preliminary layout thoughts. It's a document you can use independently, or as the foundation for further work with us.
What's included:
- 90-minute consultation (in-person or virtual)
- Structured mood and preference exploration
- Written summary with mood references and colour direction
- Preliminary layout thoughts for your space
- Covers residential and light commercial

Full Design Development
A complete design service that translates your brief into a polished, detailed plan. This is the core of what we do — a collaborative, unhurried process that covers every aspect of your space from how it flows to how it feels when the last piece is in place.
Two rounds of structured feedback keep the design on track with your vision. The process concludes with a finalised specification document that can be handed directly to contractors and suppliers.
What's included:
- Space planning and furniture layout
- Material and finish boards
- Lighting concept and layout
- 3D walkthrough visualisation
- Two structured feedback rounds
- Finalised specification document

Implementation Support
The gap between a completed design and a completed space is where many projects lose their way. Implementation Support keeps the original design intent intact during the construction and furnishing phase — handling the coordination that clients often find overwhelming.
This service can follow our own design work or support plans developed by another designer. Either way, the focus is practical: keeping things on track, on budget, and looking as they were intended to look.
What's included:
- Supplier and contractor coordination
- Order tracking and delivery management
- Regular site visits for quality assurance
- Site visit summary reports
- Final furniture and decor arrangement
- Snagging and issue resolution

What Applies Across All Services
Privacy & Confidentiality
All project-related information is treated as private. No photographs or case details are shared publicly without your explicit consent.
Timeline Transparency
Estimated timelines are shared at the start of each engagement, with updates if anything material changes during the project.
Written Agreements
Every engagement is formalised with a written scope of work and fee agreement before any work begins.
Climate-Appropriate Design
Material and finish recommendations account for KL's humidity and heat. We specify things that perform in tropical conditions, not just look good in photographs.
Direct Designer Access
You communicate directly with the senior designer responsible for your project — not an account manager or administrator — throughout the engagement.
Mindful Sourcing
Where options are comparable in quality and price, we recommend suppliers and materials with lower environmental impact. It's a small consideration that we apply consistently.
Clear Pricing From the Start
Listed prices are starting points. Final fees are scoped based on space size and project complexity. We're happy to discuss before you commit to anything.
