"I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted — just a sense that my condo felt transient. Rania helped me articulate it during the consultation, and the written summary she prepared was remarkably accurate. It's now the reference I keep going back to as I slowly furnish the space."
"We engaged Forma Haus for a full design of our landed home in Damansara. The 3D walkthrough was the turning point — being able to see the space properly before renovations began meant we went into the contractor phase with real confidence. The process was thoroughly documented at every stage."
"The implementation support was exactly what I needed. I had my own designer but didn't have the bandwidth to manage contractors and deliveries. Forma Haus handled it all and kept me informed without overwhelming me with details. The flat looked as designed, which honestly surprised me given how things usually go."
"We moved into our new home after a long overseas posting and weren't sure where to begin. The consultation gave us a clear starting point. What I appreciated most was that Daniel took time to understand how we actually use a living room — it's not a showroom, it's where our kids play. The suggestions reflected that."
"I engaged Forma Haus for a small boutique office in Petaling Jaya. The scope wasn't huge, but they treated it with the same care they'd presumably give a large residential project. The material suggestions were practical — they knew what would hold up to daily use and what looked good only on paper."
"A neighbour recommended Forma Haus after her renovation went smoother than expected. I now understand why. The communication throughout the implementation phase was steady — no surprises, no scrambling. There was a small delay with one furniture supplier, but Hui Shan flagged it two weeks early so we had time to adjust."
Projects in Detail
Bangsar Condominium — Living + Dining Rethink
A client in Bangsar had a spacious apartment that never quite felt cohesive. Multiple renovation rounds over ten years had left the living and dining areas at odds with each other — different timber tones, mismatched lighting, furniture that accumulated rather than composed.
Full Design Development. We mapped the space over two site visits before developing any layouts. The primary intervention was establishing a unified timber and stone palette, rationalising the lighting into zones, and replacing several pieces of furniture with fewer, better-chosen alternatives. The 3D walkthrough helped the client understand how restraint would actually read in the finished space.
Completed in six weeks. The client has since referred two neighbours to us. In their words, the space finally feels like a single room rather than a series of separate decisions stacked together.
Damansara Villa — New Build Interior
A family returning from Singapore had purchased a newly built villa in Damansara but had no clear picture of how to furnish and finish the interiors. Both had strong but different aesthetic preferences, and had been unable to agree on a direction independently.
We began with separate mood mapping conversations before a joint session to identify common ground. The shared reference that emerged — a calm, natural quality with some warmth — became the foundation for a full design. Materials were selected to work across both aesthetics: muted stone, weathered timber, soft linen tones.
Design delivered in seven weeks, implementation completed in twelve. Both clients described the outcome as a space that felt like neither's compromise — more like a third, better option neither had imagined alone.
PJ Boutique Studio — Office Conversion
A creative consultancy in Petaling Jaya was moving into a shophouse unit and needed the space to function as both a working studio and a meeting environment for clients. Budget was modest and the timeline tight.
Design Consultation followed by a targeted Full Design limited to the client-facing meeting area and the main workspace. We focused on multi-functional furniture, repainting to create visual zones without partition walls, and a material palette that could be sourced affordably within KL.
The studio has become a point of conversation for the consultancy's clients. The business owner noted that the quality of the space has shifted how new visitors perceive the firm from the first meeting.
